In 2017, the luxury hotel’s biggest renovation was completed, taking over two years and costing an estimated $60 million. To celebrate the grand reopening, this video shares important moments from the hotel’s 100+ year history. The video was posted on Facebook, asking fans to use the hashtag #ReturnOfTheQueen and share their memories of the hotel. It was also combined with a giveaway for 2-nights in their new suites, with a shared #ReturnOfTheQueen memory or hotel photo earning another entry. This was part of a series of social content and giveaways throughout the summer.
